About Whitney~Usagi

I have always loved art. Since I can remember, I have always wanted to color, draw & create anything that would catch my creative eye while always saying how I wanted to be an artist when I grow up. I went from pencils, to markers, to digital art; all the while dabbling with acrylics and oils when given the chance.
I took art classes up thru High School before switching my career focus to administrative work. After my little one was diagnosed with ADHD/Autism and having no available child care I became a stay-at-home mother. During this time I was able to get back to my love of art.
Most of my work from High School until recently has been digital. My current ongoing project is a webcomic called "Lunar Guardians" which I'm hoping to make a reality someday. In the meantime, I have moved to creating work that feeds my creative needs and could also generate a little income. Ongoing concerns with AI in the digital space has led me back into the physical arts were I can create something with texture that AI cannot create.
Using my digital skills, I create a mockup of what I will put to canvas with oils. Meanwhile, my Acrylic Pours are a way for me to create something less structured and let my mind relax and flow in-between the structured chaos that is my life currently.
I am hoping that my creations, whether digital or physical, can find others who enjoy them as much as I enjoy creating them.
